 "SPEAK UP! International Student Film Festival" is a Non-Profit Mississauga based festival.  We are devoted to promoting, celebrating and advancing student filmmaking talents in Mississauga and surrounding areas.

June 2, 2010  - GALA NIGHT!  for SPEAK UP! 2010 will be held on FRIDAY JUNE 11, 2010  at the ART GALLERY OF MISSISSAUGA, Located at City Hall - 300 City Centre Dr., Main Floor.  Doors Open at 7:00pm, dress code in effectTickets $26 at the door.  Appetizers and beverages are included with DONALD LOVE hosting our evening. Musical performance by DORON ZOR.  MAYOR HAZEL MCCALLION is attending, JAKE DHEER (president) will be sharing a few words.  Special guest such as directors and industry guests will attend. Media will be coving our event! Smile your on camera!  Contact Guest Services at guestservices@speakupfilmfest.com or call 905-872-4700.  Early reservations get on a guest list with a discount prices.   ATM available at location, sorry no creditcards.

May 21' 2010  Due postal service disruption (volcano ash) many of the over seas submissions have been delayed (postdated May 14th). To be fair-our programming committee has decided to postpone the Official Program online until Wed. May 26th 7pm (After the long weekend).  We apologize prolonged wait.

May 20 '2010  SPEAK UP! is proud to announce Movieola as the co-sponsor of the SPEAK UP! Film of the Year Award 2010. This is Movieola's 3rd year sponsoring and supporting our festival! Thank you for your continued presence!

AGM (Annual General Meeting) was a success!  Our new Board of Directors will bring their savvy impressive skills, resources, creativity and opinions to the SPEAK UP! table.  Lucy Filippone - Secretary, Board of Director, Colin MacIver - Board of Director, Marco Veltri - Board of Director, Elain Hare - Treasurer, Board of DirectorGiselle Tulipano is currently in place as Acting Chair/President.  Jake Dheer will be nominated as our Board of Director and nominated to become President in late March.

SPEAK UP! 2010 is scheduled to have their AGM (Annual General Meeting).  This is the time of year when our new board of directors will join our team.  New board members will also be announced along with our budget.

SPEAK UP! has developed 3 strong partnerships with the community of Mississsauga.  We are proud to say, Gerry Townsend - CEO - The Living Arts Centre is offering their support by sponsoring workshop facilities for SPEAK UP! 2010.  Mississauga Central Library will also be in collaboration with screening a Retrospect of SPEAK UP!.  We excited to announce our impressive media partnership with Rogers Television in Mississauga.  Jake Dheer, Station Manager of Rogers Mississauga, a strong supporter of cinema, community and arts in Mississauga and surrounding GTA, will be an active personnel with the SPEAK UP! team.
